Summary

Join us to prepare the land, plant, mulch, and more for a community food forest and learn about Syntropic Agroforestry firsthand!

Detailed description

We are inviting volunteers to participate in the installation of a new community food forest at:

  • Sportboys Club, Angochi, October 12
  • SPO Brazil, Brazil, October 26
  • Bureau Orthopedagogisch Centrum, Dakota, November 9
  • Club Kibrahacha 60+, Piedra Plat, November 16
  • Imeldahof, Noord, November 23
  • Fundacion Contra Violencia Relacional, Primavera, December 14
  • Maria College, Oranjestad, January 18

It's a fantastic chance to engage with nature, learn sustainable agricultural practices, and give back to the community.

Volunteers will be involved in preparing the soil, planting fruit trees, vegetables, mulching, etc. etc.

No previous experience is needed, just enthusiasm for working outdoors, eagerness to learn how to grow your own fruits & veggies or just wanting to be part of a meaningful project.

The event is a one-day installation on the Saturdays mentioned above, and volunteers are asked to arrive by 7:00 AM to help complete the tasks before the heat of the day.

Water and snacks will be provided until supplies run out, so we encourage you to bring your own drinks and snacks too.

Please also bring a shovel, piki, rake, wheelbarrow (if available), gloves (optional), and sun protection such as hats and sunscreen.
